About the Area

Native American history sets the stage for our area's travel through time.

Harbor Springs is situated on beautiful Little Traverse Bay, Lake Michigan.  The greater Harbor Springs community includes Petoskey, Conway, Alanson, Oden, Brutus, Pellston, Cross Village, and Good Hart. 

Dense woodlands, rolling landscapes, and pristine beaches are all part of the natural beauty.  We hope you will enjoy our area photo gallery and take advantage of the wonderful history provided by the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society.  We are privileged to hold dear an incredible history beginning 200 years ago with Native American villages.
