 Little Traverse Bay Humane Society - This is our 2nd Collars for a Cause. Last year we adopted out 18 animals! Please come and support us as Dave Kring contributes by putting $50.00 toward every adoption! Local vendors have everything you could ever need to pamper your pet. Refreshments and a great time! 9Mountain Run at Boyne Golf Outing
 Be part of the excitement at Mountain Run at Boyne/ Christel House Open charity golf tournament at the beautiful Alpine Course at Boyne Mountain On Monday, June 09, 2008 the annual Christel House Open international charity golf tournament will take place on more than two-dozen courses across five continents. 100 percent of the proceeds from this event will benefit Christel House, an international children's charity that currently serves more than 2000 children in Mexico, India, South Africa, Venezuela, Serbia and the United States. The mission of Christel House is to help impoverished, orphaned and abandoned children break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient contributing members of their societies. Mountain Run at Boyne is proud to be hosting the inaugural event in Michigan at Boyne Mountain's Alpine Course. We invite you to be a part of the 2008 Christel House Open on Monday, June 9, 2008. Breakfast, Golf, Lunch, Awards banquet and a Silent Auction are all included in your player fee.

 June 12-13, 2008. Classes run Thursday and Friday. WHAT is College for Kids? College for Kids is a Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District summer program of enrichment classes. Classes are designed to help students currently enrolled in grades 2-7 study a particular subject or field of interest in depth. A broad spectrum of interactive classes are designed to appeal to students of various talents and interests. WHEN do I register? Registration booklets will be sent home with students the third week in April.

17The Art of Fundraising in Northern Michigan
 The Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation and the Charlevoix County Community Foundation are pleased to co-sponsor "The Art of Fundraising in Northern Michigan" a workshop for non-profits in Emmet and Charlevoix counties on Tuesday, June 17 from 9:15am to 4pm at the Charlevoix Public Library Community Room. Pre-Registration is required through the Charlevoix County Community Foundation by June 10. The cost is $10 per person with a limit of two people per non-profit organization. 202008 Bay Harbor Vintage Car & Boat Festival
 2008 BAY HARBOR VINTAGE CAR & BOAT FESTIVAL The Bay Harbor Vintage Car & Boat Festival kicks off on Friday, June 20nd, with the 3rd Annual Bay Harbor Northern Michigan Dream Cruise. Anyone with a hot rod or muscle car can cruise the streets of Bay Harbor and participate in the evening of food, fun, and entertainment. The Festival continues on Saturday, June 21rd with the Vintage Car & Boat show featuring an exquisite display of motor cars from the early years, the classic years, post WWII and modified custom hot rads. Plus, wooden boats of the region's inland lakes. Food & Wine Experience and Future Classics. Visitors to the Festival can cast a ballot for their favorite motor cars and/or motor boat, through a small donation to the Foundation; see how you compare to the Judges. Throughout the day exhibitors, guests and visitors will be invited to view and bid on a variety of items in the Silent Auction. No Admission Fees, Events Open to All

 The Emmet County Parks and Recreation Department and the MSU Extension will hold their 3rd Annual Northern Michigan Garden Expo on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Emmet County Fairgrounds. Hours are 9am - 4pm. The Expo is a showcase for outdoor and garden-based businesses and includes vendor displays, demonstrations and educational lectures. Admission is free.
