2010 Harbor Heroes Awards Ceremony and Dinner
Harbor Heroes, in its sixteenth year, is a night of celebration honoring exceptional individuals and businesses that have contributed greatly to the community. The dinner is also a special way to say "THANK YOU" to the numerous boards, committees and individuals who work behind the scenes to assure outstanding success in all our Chamber events. The awards for the 2010 Leadership Little Traverse Mentor of the Year, the 2010 Area Beautification and Architectural Excellence Award, and The 2010 Char-Em Culinary Arts Program Scholarship Recipients will also be presented again at this year.
This event is open to the public and everyone in the community is encouraged to participate and to attend. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Chamber Office on Main Street in Harbor Springs, over the phone at (231) 526-7999 or via email.
Community participation is critical in assuring the success of this annual event. The HSACC encourages participation by asking members of the community to submit nominations for any of the six categories listed below.
Nomination forms are available at the HSACC office and also at the bottom of this page as a PDF file for download. Nominations can be made to one, several, or all of the awards categories.
- Outstanding Citizen Award
Recognizing an individual for their lifelong contribution of time, talent and resources for the betterment of the greater Harbor Springs area. - Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award
Presented to a member of the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce who has dedicated time and energy to the successful development of chamber events, programs and/or activities. . - Ambassadors Award
Given to a person who has a genuine fondness for the greater Harbor Springs area and who shares that fondness through enthusiasm and service that enhances the community and inspires others to do the same. - Community Service Award
Honoring an individual (or group) who has contributed time and energy to various causes and made a lasting impression on the entire community. - President's Award
This is a dual award given to both an individual and a business that have contributed time and resources to help fulfill the mission of the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce.
The HSACC Harbor Heroes event is an outstanding event that allows community participation in recognizing outstanding individuals and businesses who have truly made a difference.
