Harbor Springs Area Chili Cook-Off (February)
Held each year on President's Day Weekend, the annual Harbor Springs Chili Cook-Off is a much needed break during the winter months.
Stafford's Pier Restaurant on Bay Street is the location for this amateur judging event where novices and professionals compete side by side for the judges. Winners are announced during the event.

Waterfront Wine Festival (June)
Guests enjoy live music, tastings, and more at the annual Waterfront Wine Festival.
Sponsored by Scenic Michigan, our annual Waterfront Wine Festival is a wonderful kick-off to summer, raising necessary funding for both the HSACC as well as Scenic Michigan, an affiliate of Scenic America.

4th of July Celebration (July)
Thousands of visitors attend the annual Fourth of July festivities.
Step back in time and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a true small town festival honoring our nations birthday. We like to believe that our 4th of July celebration is one of the best in the country and the thousands of visitors who flock annually to our tiny town will most likely agree.
Watch the parade, enjoy evening fireworks, eat a hot dog, shop the local art fair and even get a work-out at the Paul Revere run. Enjoy a star-spanled holiday event and soak in the "'Summer Up North" experience.

Sidewalk Sales (August)
One Saturday every August, the HSACC sponsors the annual day of Sidewalk Sales in downtown Harbor Springs. The streets are closed all day for this pedestrian-friendly event whereby businesses put end of season items on sale for one day only. Taste of Harbor Springs (September)
Area restaurants, delis, grocers, and specialty stores all participate in the annual Taste of Harbor Springs.

The HSACC Harbor Heros awards dinner offers a great evening of mingling and networking.
The Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce takes this special day to honor those people who have contributed so much for so many at the HSACC Harbor Heroes awards dinner and ceremony.
The dinner is special way to say thank you to the numerous boards and committees who work behind the scenes to make all of our events seamless and enjoyable.

Annual Gingerbread Contest (December)
Shown here is a 2006 entry depicting a local lighthouse. Only edible buildling materials are permitted in the contest.
Stafford's Pier Restaurant sponsors this snnual event where anyone and everyone is encouraged to participate.
Entries are based on age and participants can enter as a group or individual. The 2007 event took on a philanthropical twist by encouraging participants to select a charity for which their entry would raise money. The 2007 winner was the R.F.C. Fire Rescue team. Their notable replica firehouse won more hearts than any other entry.
