Chamber Launches New Website
The Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce is very excited about the launch of our new website.

The site features many bells and whistles specifically designed to give the user a friendlier and more informative experience while allowing Chamber members the opportunity to better promote their businesses. The new website also provides members with much needed site statistics that will assist in their personal marketing efforts.

Chamber President Jody Ewbank had an active role in the development of the new site along with Mary Ellen Hughes and Sandy Koehler (the Chamber Marketing Committee). Coordinating the project was marketing contractor, Ami Woods, who is continuing to work with the developer, Gaslight Media of Petoskey on the content of the site and who will manage the site for the next three months during the introductory period.

The new website is the Chamber's primary marketing tool and the committee is happy to be presenting a new face to the world through the new site.

New Summer Activities Offered at Boyne Highlands
Boyne Highlands Resort
has unveiled new amenities to broaden the resort's summertime offerings. Equestrian activities including pony, carriage and horseback trail rides, and a live birds of prey educational program are available this season in addition to the resort's four golf courses, par-3 course, abundant hiking and biking trails, scenic chairlift rides and the popular Young Americans Dinner Theatre.

The guided horseback trail rides are a partnership with Birchwood Farms.  Resort guests and area visitors can explore rolling pastures and wooded terrain on Boyne Highlands grounds each Thursday through Sunday with 1-, 2- and 4-hour rides for $45, $80 and $120 per person, respectively.  Rides depart at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Children too young for trail rides, ages 8 and under, can delight in pony rides escorted by handlers along a gentle walk through the pasture with 15-minute rides for $25.  Carriage rides can be booked in one-hour increments and accommodates groups up to sixteen people.

Also new, the resort's Live Birds of Prey program happens every Saturday starting at 7 p.m. and is free of charge. Gather the family on the lawn near the Main Lodge and join local experts from NorthWings, a non-profit division of SEE-North, as they feature live birds such as a Barred Owl, Golden Eagle and Eastern Screech Owl and provide hands-on learning with feathers and bones, creative crafts and games.
