Living In Northern Michigan
Many find that the benefits to living in northern Michigan far outweigh the hustle and bustle of more suburban or even urban settings such as Detroit or Grand Rapids. Relocation is common in our area, especially for those wishing to raise children in a more small-town American type setting where there is greater freedom for a child.
The areas surrounding Harbor Springs offer thriving business districts, uncomparable natural beauty, successful local governments, year-round recreation, and a well managed educational system.
When it's time to get away, commercial air travel is available daily to Detroit via the Pellston Regional airport, about 20 minutes from Harbor Springs. The Traverse City Regional Airport, located about 75 miles from Harbor Springs offers more advanced flight options. Either way, as stunning as our neck of the woods may be, travel is still available without hassle to get to other parts of the world for business or pleasure.
Living in our area offers a way of life no longer available in other, more metropolitan areas. We're proud of northern Michigan and we welcome anyone who chooses this area as home.
