Welcome to the best place in America to celebrate Independence Day - Downtown Harbor Springs! The City of Harbor Springs, the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, Harbor Springs Public Schools and many other community organizations come together on this special day of celebration to bring you a series of spectacular patriotic events. Details of the day are noted below. See you on the Fourth and be sure to wear your red, white and blue!
Fourth of July Art Fair This juried show is held each year in Zorn Park across from the city beach on Bay Street.
Paul Revere 3 Mile and 10 Mile Run
This special race raises proceeds for the Harbor Springs High School Track and Cross Country Teams. Scroll to the bottom of this page for an information sheet and the registration form (PDF).
Fourth of July Parade (1:00 pm - East to West on Main Street and West to East on Bay Street)
The Fourth of July parade in Harbor Springs is a true American event where families come from all over northern Michigan to celebrate together in our small town. The parade begins at 1pm at Zoll and Main Streets and heads west on Main to State Street, then down to Bay Street where it winds back east to Zoll Street. Excellent viewing spots are available all along Main, State and Bay Streets.
Parade of Bagpipers
After the parade, enjoy the march of the bagpipers as they make their way down Bay Street and march right through Stafford's Pier Restaurant before a brief dining room concert.
The Keelhauler's Live On Dudley's Deck
Join a Harbor Springs classic music group, The Keelhaulers, as they play classics from the 60's and 70's overlooking Little Traverse Bay onlong the waterfront near the City Marina.
City of Harbor Springs Fireworks Display
There's nothing better than sitting in the grass on a warm July evening and watching the bright lights of the annual fireworks display. Fireworks begin just after dusk and coincide with Petoskey's display.
