Street Musique Returns for 5th Season
Downtown intersections will come alive with the sounds of music as the popular Street Musique summer concert series returns to Harbor Springs for a 5th season. The series will run successive Thursday evenings beginning July 5 through August 2. All performances run from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
"Street Musique" promises something for everyone with a full schedule of soloists and small ensembles providing "street corner sounds" of jazz, blues, easy listening, country western, Om-Pah and more. Based on the overwhelming success of the past four seasons, many art galleries and downtown retail businesses will continue be a part of "the act" by offering exhibits, in-store receptions and extended evening shopping hours.
The Street Musique series was founded by the Harbor Springs Chamber of Commerce in 2003 as a means to contribute to the quality of life, distinctiveness, and vitality of downtown Harbor Springs through arts and culture. In that time, funding by residents, businesses and various organizations including the Blissfest Music Organization, Petoskey-Harbor Springs-Boyne Visitors Bureau, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and many more, has yielded more than 150 performances.
