The Blue Chairlift was manufactured by Poma/Miner-Denver and was installed in 1971. Ben Doornbos\, Nub's Nob General Manager\, explained the decision last spring\, saying "The lift has been cared for by our crew for nearly 50 years. Over time\, finding parts to maintain the lift has become increasingly difficult. The manufacturer no longer supplies the parts we need to service the lift. Instead of running the lift with limited access to essential parts\, we have decided to take the lift down."\n\n\n\nExcerpt from February 27\, 2020\, MyNorth article:\n"The Blue is the shortest lift that accesses our popular front side terrain. Many of us enjoyed countless rides on this beloved lift to lap Smokey\, Valley\, Scarface or Smooth Sailing. Despite our affection for the Blue\, it's time to retire the lift.\n\nThe Blue chairlift was manufactured by Poma/Miner-Denver and was erected in 1971. All of the lift towers will come down and the snowmaking installations will be moved closer to the woods. This will create extra space on top of the hill and dramatically expand the width of the run." Ben Doornbos\, Nub's Nob General Manager \n\n\n\nA big Thank You to Nub's Nob for the donation of the Blue Chair!\n\n\n\nHurry\, don't miss your chance to own your very own retired Blue Chair from Nub's Nob.
