DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 30th\, at 6:00 p.m.\, join us to celebrate 109 years of a magical tradition in downtown Harbor Springs at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Make sure your children write their letters to Santa and drop them off anytime the month of December.  \n\n\n\nMain Street\, west of State Street\, will be closed to traffic beginning at 3p on Saturday.  \n\n\n\nAt 6:00\, Celebrate 109 years of a magical tradition in downtown Harbor Springs at the Christmas Tree Lighting. Gather with your friends and neighbors to sing carols\, enjoy the lighting of the tree on Main Street and celebrate the winners of the annual window decorating contest. \n\n\n\nThe public is then invited to attend an ecumenical chili dinner in the Holy Childhood Parish Hall at 150 W Main Street\, just adjacent to the tree\, where you can also see Santa\, enjoy homemade cookies and hot cocoa\, courtesy of the American Legion Auxiliary and their sponsor First Community Bank!\n\nFor those of our Harbor Springs family near and far who would like enjoy the tree lighting from the comfort of their home\, we will be streaming live on the Harbor Springs Facebook page.   https://www.facebook.com/harborspringschamber \n\n\nThank you to Northern Entertainment Consultants\, sponsored by Vernale's Restaurant\,  who will be providing the lights and sound system for this year's event\, as well as Irish Boat Shop for our stage.   \n\n \nTREE LIGHTING MATINEE SPECIAL - Kids can start the day at 11 a.m. with a visit to the Lyric Theatre to see ELF for free in all three theaters. Advance tickets will be needed\, available in-person only by stopping by the Lyric anytime we are open. You do NOT need a ticket just to see Santa\, tickets are to attend the movie only. Seats will be assigned. You must retain your ticket\, and ushers will be on hand to make sure you go to the correct seats. Please return any tickets picked up in advance that won't be used prior to the event.
