DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the best place in America to celebrate Independence Day - Downtown Harbor Springs! The City of Harbor Springs\, the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce\, Harbor Springs Public Schools and many other community organizations come together on this special day of celebration to bring you a series of spectacular patriotic events.  Details of the day are noted below.  See you on the Fourth and be sure to wear your red\, white and blue!\n\nFourth of July Art Fair \n\nThis juried show is held each year in Zorn Park across from the city beach on Bay Street.  10AM - 5PM.  Free to attend.\n\nPaul Revere 3 Mile and 10 Mile Run\n\nThis special race raises proceeds for the Harbor Springs High School Track and Cross Country Teams. Registration Form (PDF)\n\n\n\nFourth of July Parade - 1:00 pm\n\nThe Fourth of July parade in Harbor Springs is a true American event where families come from all over northern Michigan to celebrate together in our small town. The parade begins at 1pm at Zoll and Main Streets and heads west on Main to State Street\, then down to Bay Street where it winds back east to Zoll Street. Excellent viewing spots are available all along Main\, State and Bay Streets.\n\n** City of Harbor Springs ordinance prohibits placement of lawn chairs or any other objects on the sidewalk or adjacent street-right-of-way before 9am on the Fourth of July. **\n\n\n\nParade of Bagpipers\n\nAfter the parade\, enjoy the march of the bagpipers as they make their way down Bay Street and march right through Stafford's Pier Restaurant before a brief dining room concert.\n\n\n\nYoung Americans Perform Live!\n\nJuly 4th beginning at 3:00pm there will be a performance by the ever talented Young Americans to celebrate the fabric of our community and the birth of our Nation. The public is invited to Shay Park (Judd St & Bay St across from the Irish Boat Shop) for a tribute and live entertainment. Free for all ages.  Dancing encouraged!\n\n\n\nRED\, WHITE and BREW Celebration!\n\nBeer Garden & Live Music - Join in a longstanding Harbor Springs tradition\, July 2\, (for 2016 ONLY) from 4 - 7PM\, as live entertainment is featured bay side. Taking place on the waterfront overlooking the beautiful Little Traverse Bay\, the public is invited to visit the beer tent to enjoy locally crafted micro-brews and select wines.  Also\, includes select domestic brews & light beers.  Saturday\, July 2nd (New Date For 2016 Only).\n\n"Crown Jewel of the North" - Fireworks over the Harbor There's nothing better than sitting in the grass on a warm July evening and watching the bright lights of the annual fireworks display. Fireworks begin just after dusk (10:00pm) and coincide with Petoskey's display. Hosted by the Harbor Springs Chamber Foundation.
