July 17 at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts.\n\nStravinsky's Rite of Spring shocked the world at its 1913 Paris premiere\, sparking a riot with its groundbreaking music and radical dance. Now\, GLCO and DEOS Contemporary Ballet bring this legendary work to life with a newly commissioned world-premiere choreography\, created exclusively for northern Michigan audiences.\n\nThe evening continues with high-energy summer Latin rhythms including Bernstein's Mambo from West Side Story.\n\nTickets from $35 - $65 are available at www.glcorchestra.org.  The 7 PM concert is free for veterans\, active service members and students 18 and under by calling 231-487-0010.\n\n \n\nTickets include an optional pre-concert talk at 6 pm by Maestro Libor Ondras\, GLCO Music Director.
