Bay St.) just East of the Pier restaurant. The Harbor Springs Ride of Silence is organized by Christopher Benson who survived being struck by a vehicle in 2007 while riding on an open road. On May 16\, 2018\, at 7:00 PM\, the Ride of Silence will begin in North America and roll across the globe. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists\, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights\, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves. Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph/20 kph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. The ride is FREE and open to anyone with a bicycle and a helmet (*helmets required*) The ride course is approximately 8 miles in and around Harbor Springs.
