The stakes feel high when I am painting a person - it's vital for me to capture some truth about them\; their physical likeness\; a sense of their spirit.\n\nThe live portrait sitting is where the big magic happens. Ideas and conversations flow\, hearts are open\, "selves" are revealed. It is such a privilege. I see the subject and they see me.
