Name: Harbor History Talk - The Grand Hotel
    Date: August 15, 2019
    Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM EDT
    Event Description:

Join the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society for a one of a kind presentation with Bob Tagatz, the official historian of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Tagatz has over 30 years of experience in historical preservation in Michigan, Florida and Georgia. Two decades ago he came to Mackinac Island to study turn-of-the-century, wood-frame hotels and never left. Tagatz assembled the Grand Hotel’s first archive and is well known for his dynamic and engaging talks on the hotel’s history.

This will be Mr. Tagatz only presentation off the island this year - don’t miss your chance to hear him. The talk will be held at the Harbor Springs High School Performing Arts Center, 500 N. Spring St on Thursday, August 15 at 5:30 pm. Admission is $5 for Historical Society members and $10 for non-members. Light refreshments will be provided, however, no food or beverages (including water) are allowed in the auditorium. We suggest arriving early to check in with staff and have lemonade and baked goods before finding your seat.
