Support the use of solar energy, just by enjoying a pint! For every pint of Blackrocks Brewery 51k IPA purchased on February 18th from open to close, $1 will be donated to the Solarize Petoskey Community Project. Members of the Leadership Little Traverse class will be on site from 7:00 to 9:00pm to answer any questions you have about the project and process. So grab some friends, and enjoy some beer! It's all for a great cause. We'll see you there. -- About this Project -- We want to increase awareness of the accessibility of clean energy and the beneficial impact it has on our corner of Pure Michigan. The Leadership Little Traverse 20th class is striving to provide Petoskey with its first solar panel array connected to the City of Petoskey’s electric grid, which will be located on the campus of NCMC. By installing this solar panel array, we’re creating an opportunity for hands-on learning, allowing our neighbors to see, touch, and experience solar energy in use. -- About Leadership Little Traverse -- We inspire and prepare leaders in the Little Traverse Bay Region through a broad-based curriculum addressing the components of effective leadership. This program provides exposure to community challenges and opportunities for solutions, creates opportunities for personal and professional growth, increases understanding of various sectors of our community, and connects students to key leaders in the area. Community benefits of the program are immense and include fostering participation, identifying future leaders, expanding networks, and increasing volunteerism.
