The annual Harbor Springs Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 28 beginning at 10 a.m. on Main Street. The parade and services are organized by the Smith-Hoover American Legion Post. The parade includes the Legion’s Drum & Bugle Corps, which has marched in the Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades for many years.
The parade will end at the waterfront with a ceremony honoring those in the military that have died in the line of service. As part of the services, the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society will rededicate the Zorn Park Cannon with a bronze plaque giving voice to its history. The Historical Society is honored to shine a light on this unique piece of our community’s and our nation’s history. The plaque was made possible with support from the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation and the Smith-Hoover American Legion Post 281.
> The American Legion invites you to start your day with their annual Memorial Day Breakfast from 7-9 a.m. at the Legion building at the corner of State and Third Streets. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffee and orange juice.
