About Us
We're Sarah Koetje and Sarah Mayhew, the owners of Little Big, LLC.—your source for nature & adventure-based learning.
We’re thrilled to share our new business with our community and all who visit this magical area!
Rooted in northern Michigan, we are experienced and passionate outdoor educators who dream big and create even bigger. We specialize in making meaningful connections and creating unforgettable experiences.
Between the two of us, we have over 20 years of experience teaching outdoor education across various sectors, including government and non-profit organizations. We have nearly a decade of experience working together to provide top-notch outdoor programming to K-12 schools, including public, private, alternative education, homeschool groups, and summer programming across northern Michigan.
We have a very exciting summer ahead of us! We are offering 6 weeks of nature-based day camps to children ages 6-12 years old.
Camps are based out of the historic Five Mile Creek Schoolhouse and partnering with Pond Hill Farm - giving your youngsters an experience like no other!
Just as no two days are alike in nature, Little Big day camps bring something new and exciting everyday. Our Days are filled with nature exploration, art, wilderness survival skills, farm immersion, history and more!
Day camps run Monday - Thursday.
10AM - 3PM - to children ages 6-12
We also offer a wide variety of programming, serving school groups, Scout groups, senior citizens, private hiking tours, nature adventures, retreats, and more!
Come explore with us!
