Creative Writing Workshop with Alecia Beymer

The Infra-Ordinary: All that Goes Unnoticed

Petoskey District Library is partnering with Good Hart Artist Residency to offer a writing workshop with artist-in-residence Alecia Beymer. The workshop will focus on how we move in the mundane and the ordinary without often recognizing all the components of our lives. We will work on our skills of attunement and becoming aware of what is around us, what rests in the unseen and the things deemed unpoetic. We will explore other modes of being in the world: the sensory, felt, and affective experiences we might avoid or move away from quickly because of our consciousness, or the next task that is looming in front of us. (Limited class size so registration is required. Program intended for ages 13 and older.)
