One Bay, One Book Community Reads Author In Conversation
The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book’s One Bay, One Book Community Reads program features one book for the community to read followed by an opportunity to come together to discuss the book with the author.
The selected book is chosen from the Festival’s author alumni. Selection criteria includes relevance for the entire community regarding the book’s theme, appeal to a variety of age groups, and its timeliness or timelessness.
Our 2023 selected author and book is The Last Winter: The Scientists, Adventurers, Journeymen, and Mavericks Trying to Save the World by Porter Fox, who was a 2018 Festival presenter. This conversation with Ann Baughman of Freshwater Future is one of two events with Porter. This is a free event, but tickets are required. Sign up at hsfotb.org. The book is available in paperback and available at Between the Covers in Harbor Springs or independent booksellers everywhere. The Festival has a limited number of copies available at no cost. (contact info@hsfotb.org). Books must be picked up at the Festival office in Harbor Springs.
