Save the Trees Fundraiser - SOLD OUT
Conservancy’s 32nd Annual Fundraiser Held at The Viewlands
Little Traverse Conservancy is pleased to announce the return of the in-person Save the Trees event, held this year on July 29 from 6-7:30 at the Offield Family Viewlands near Harbor Springs. Sponsorships from last year’s virtual event resulted in nearly 7,000 trees planted at the Viewlands this past spring.
“We have significantly changed the format of this event from an art auction to a social gathering and celebration of land protection work in northern Michigan,” said the Conservancy’s Administrative Coordinator Sarah Gurney who organizes the event with the Save the Trees volunteer committee co-chaired by Consie and Seth Pierrepont.
All who purchase a ticket at any sponsorship level will be entered in a drawing to receive a handmade, 6-foot ornamental birchbark canoe made by John and Victoria Jungwirth of Ishpeming Birchbark Canoes. Food this year will be by Crow’s Nest Catering and Mawby Sparkling Wines will be on hand. Music will be provided by the Younce Guitar Duo. Drost Landscaping is providing plants.
Corporate sponsors this year include Klepadlo/Winnell/ Nuorala PC, Evening Star Joinery Decka Digital, Petoskey Plastics, and Dave Kring Chevrolet and Cadillac.
To purchase tickets or become a general sponsor, please visit www.landtrust.org or call 231.347.0991.
The Little Traverse Conservancy is your local land trust. Individuals, families, and businesses make annual donations to ensure that LTC can protect land throughout northern Michigan for your family and generations to come. Nature Preserves and Working Forest Reserves are open to you and can be found throughout the northern lower and eastern upper peninsulas of Michigan. LTC receives no government funding for its operations. In addition to offering voluntary land protection options for landowners, we reach thousands of children with environmental education programs each year. More than 110 miles of trails are available on dozens of the more than 200 nature preserves and working forest reserves. A free nature preserve and trail app – LTC Explorer – is available for download. For more information, visit www.landtrust.org or call 231.347.0991.Images
