Tail Waggin' Tutors
What do you get when you bring children, dogs and books together? Happy, confident children who love to read. Studies have shown that children's confidence and reading skills grow in a relaxing, supportive environment. In this program, we're bringing in trained therapy dogs and scheduling children to come to the Harbor Springs Library to read aloud to them. Dogs don't judge, don't laugh, don't correct when kids stumble. They simply provide a non-threatening, positive audience for young readers. Please call the Harbor Springs Library at (231) 526-2531 to place your child on the schedule. There will be 15-minute slots available for each child from 10:00am to 11:30am. This month our reader dog is Micky the Newfoundland! Children must be pre-registered for this free event. Location Harbor Springs Library, 206 S. Spring St
