The Equipment Operator reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents.
Willingness to learn the maintenance operations of golf course tees, fairways, and greens.
Equipment operators will be trained in the operation and care of mowing equipment and other tasks for the maintenance of the golf course.
A large part of the maintenance at TNGC is walk mowing. The Equipment Operators must be able to walk up to 5 miles a day.
The Equipment Operators must be able to life 50 lbs. on occasion, and 25 lbs. repetitively.
The Equipment Operators must be strongly motivated to align and partner with other operators to complete all tasks to the highest standards and achieve team goals.
The Equipment Operators need to have a high-quality work ethic, not high quantity.
Equipment Operators must be punctual and be able to work to the schedule put forth.
Must have a willingness to ask questions to learn the why, when, and what we are doing for the maintenance of the golf course.
Uphold given professional clothing attire while working.
Daily Task Outlook
Arrive on time and be ready for the start of the day's work schedule.
Seasonal employment runs from May 15th to October 15th.
General schedule for full-time seasonal: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday-Friday; 1 day on Saturday or Sunday 6:00-10:00 AM. Will receive overtime pay of time and a half for hours worked over 40 in a week.
General schedule for part-time seasonal: 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday-Friday; 1 day on Saturday or Sunday 6:00-10:00 AM.
For employees still in school for the months of May, September, and October: work 8 hours on both weekend days and work after school a couple of days a week.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly wage $17/hour
4 hours/week budgeted overtime for weekend work.
